I am no native to Bend. I stumbled upon it after visiting time and time again with my family and I always had a draw to what you can't hesitate to call the majestic nature of Central Oregon.
It is hard to understand without actually experiencing it yourself. Don't get me wrong, the Breweries and tourist's sites are grand, but I'm talkin' about true Bend. Where cultures have meshed into an entirely new lifestyle. Where we are on the cutting edge of living life to its fullest exists. I hope you can join me on my Journey, as I explore the intricacies of Bend and Central Oregon through my stories and my photography.
Life in Bend has been categorized by some as living in "Poverty With A View". I have worked in many faucets here in Bend. From a freestyle ski coach and waiter, to a marketing manager and part time child mentor. It takes gumption to live in Bend, and it is only getting more and more expensive as California has begun its migration here.
If you want to move to Bend, don't hesitate to email about housing, lifestyle, skiing or what to do. I am always available for a question.
If you get the chance to make it to Bend you will find a town full of life. Most people have a dog, a Subaru, a mountain bike, a cruiser bike, a favorite coffee shop and brewery, an opinion, a dream, a side job, a hobby, and they LOVE LIFE! Just like myself, many of them have had to reshape their dreams to live and explore this great place. Many people have several jobs, talents, and a bright value for culture and passion for life.
So, are you catching my drift? Bend is a place you will love living, you probably won't get rich living and working here, but hey, memories last forever and money comes and goes. It is worth it all. I live in the place I love with a dog, a Subaru, a beautiful wife, a kiddo on the way, multiple jobs, and just enough money. I like to think that the lifestyle in Bend gives me an opportunity to live life to the fullest. So, join me on my journey as I explore Bend and Central Oregon IN MY OWN WORDS...
